I hope

That this doesn't happen to my face when I have Eeq. Because it did when I had Little Missy.

Heat Wave!

I took Little Missy outside for all of 10-15 minutes today... because she wanted to go back inside. I was going to buck up and stay outside so she could play for a while, but (thankfully) she got hot and wanted to come back in! Whew! I did snap some photos of this and that, though, while I was out. I needed proof that I moved from in front of the fan on the couch, dontchaknow?

This is a previous owners only idea of landscaping. This is all of the 'flower garden' we had when me moved in besides 2 bayberry bushes in the very front of the house. It is a bunch of stuff just thrown in the yard with no apparent rhyme or reason. There was no 'bed' made, there is just lawn all around them. So odd.

I dearly love poppies, though! I haven't transplanted these yet because I am scared they will just die off!

This is our Aussie Shepherd, Helo. :) He's a good boy.

Little Missy running. This lasted all of 3 minutes until she realized that it was too hot for running.

I just love these! I am sure everyone is sick of seeing them, but they are really making me happy!

This is the neighbor's "lawn". This is what their whole yard, front and back, looks like. Ours is n the right with the telephone pole, theirs is on the left and looks like a hay field.

The End.

I know..

I only post photos of my house.. but that is one of the 2 things I am working on lately. The other is growing a baby, and those photos would be boring.

This is the new super-happy colorful mat I got. :) It makes me smile.

On the right are the new flowers that Little Missy and I planted today. (Read: I planted and she watched/watered)

This photo also shows how desperately we need to paint our porch steps. :)

This and That

These are out of order, and I need to fix them, but I don't want to.

My hubs made this out of our barn wood. :) I love how rustic it is!

My front porch now.

Little Missy apparently didn't want her photo taken!

Now she is okay, though. Just wet from the hose.

My Mom made these and gave them to us for our front porch. :) Dad's old shoes. He's a shoe guy.

Hubs and Little Missy playing in the hose!

This is the barn wood sanded and up close. :)

Photos

Little Missy likes to look at herself in the back of the camera, so she had me snap some shots.

She's such a love!

This is the back of the house, my daylillies that I didn't get weeded.

This is some landscaping that my hubs is doing around the back of the house. Grass doesn't grow here because of the big pine tree, maple tree, and shade from the house. We are going to do shade plants and a bench and all sorts of stuff.. it's just a long running project.

One of the gardens that got weeded today, and hyacinths transplanted into them.

Marjoram!

Thyme!

Dappled Willow Tree. Weeded and re-mulched. It needed it.

Oops... didn't see Little Missy in there. :) Weeded all in the corner, laid more soil.

This is my Max of the Wild Things book fame. :) Got it at a craft fair a few years ago. Any idea what these white flowers are? I can't remember what they are called.

My beautiful Mother's Day hanging baskets. Let's just ignore the Christmas lights, shall we? We have to paint all of this outside trim this year so they will be coming down eventually.

Daylillies, more wedding. :) The back row are short yellow ones, the front row are short maroon ones, I think. Either that or orange. Transplanted them from Mom's last year, so I can't remember.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mom's Day to all people in the Mom realm! That category encompasses a lot, so this is a general shout out!

For my Mom we went and grilled out yesterday with them at their house, then they played with DD for a while. I am going to take her on a day trip one of these days and out to lunch for Mom's day. Gonna get a babysitter for DD so it is just my Mom and I. :) It'll be lots of fun!

For Mom's day I got the 3 planters to hang on my front porch. :D I *love* them! Today we went to church, then to Qdoba and have otherwise been hanging out at home! This is exactly the day I wanted. Exactly! We were going to come home and have lunch, but the thought of Qdoba was too compelling. It was perfect. I got a nice long nap this afternoon, Hubs has been cleaning the house and the car. He got the infant car seat base in the car. Then he grilled a porterhouse steak, potatoes and fresh asparagus on the grill. Also what I wanted. He sweetly offered to make chicken (we have had a lot of red meat lately, what with the 1/4 cow we bought) for me, but I really wanted steak! He does a great job and it was awesome. I think DD ate half of my steak, though! She was going to town! "More! More! More! 'Nother one!" I am thinking about going and making some peanut butter cookies, since I love to bake and they are his hands-down favorite. He's been so great about spoiling me, taking care of me, and making sure that I have everything I need. Such a great man!

I have had a fantastic day and I hope that everyone else did, too!

Flowers, Mail and Stuff. :)

How cool is this? This is what a 3D ultrasound photo of my dear Eeq looks like. :)

I opened my mailbox today... and what should I find? These adorable notepads that I *didn't win in an online auction for a good cause. Thank you so much, SW, you sweetie! :)

This is the sweater that I *did win, and I can't wait until someone I know has a baby boy!

These are the flowers that I got for Mother's Day.

They are beautiful and when it stops raining I will step off the porch and take a photo of them all on the porch!

We went to town today and got some bottles, a breast pump, some crib sheets, a sun shield, etc. for Eeq! I feel like we are ready, stuff-wise. Now I just can't wait for her to get here!

Spring

I am so happy it is spring! Lilacs are blooming, the grass is growing (known by the fact that my hubby has already mowed several times this year- he even mowed the neighbor's lawn the other day because their mower is broken and the neighbor is injured) and everything is bright and sunshine-y. We get so busy in the spring because we just want to be outside! One of my favorite things to do is to dig in the garden with DD. Planting flowers, moving rocks, pulling weeds. We have spent the majority of our time outside in the last week, and it is fantastic!

Yesterday i spent the majority of my day catching up with a friend I have had since elementary school, I think. If not then shortly thereafter. It was *so nice to see her! We haven't seen each other since my wedding, which has been a long time. We spent 12 hours chatting while our kids played and napped. :)

Such a great day!

One of my Loves

I love fabric.

I am sure it has been mentioned before, but I do. I like to make baby clothes, pillow cases, quilts, and whatever else I can find that is fun. My wonderful Mom is a quilter and has a fantastic quilt room for me to use, plus she always helps when I need help! She also does a lot of Little Missy watching for me while I sew. I have gotten largely out of doing any hobbies since I first started getting morning sickness. Well, I am really feeling an urge to get back working on stuff. This morning I have been searching the internets and looking at fabric. Be still my heart. Moda is amazing, but also my downfall. They always have a new line out that makes me want to shop. Mmmm.... Moda. I have a ton of cleaning to do today and I think I am going to daydream about what I can do with one of the new layer cakes I want, or the jelly roll that is calling my name from my fabric stash.

I love fabric.

I have considered...

...whether to further address the whole blog deletion thing, and I've decided to address it this way:

I am aware (and was before yesterday) of what is available on The Google. I love The Google. :) I have decided, in lieu of a recent and extreme interest in me, that I do not want a private blog. I did not want to reopen that same one, and I did not feel like going through and deleting all of my photos from the previous blog. I also was not going to make them just be out there again. So I deleted it. I saved a copy and am ordering a book of it, which will be pretty cool! No big hardship. It wasn't done in anger, it was done simply because I have nothing to hide, and having my blog private makes it look that way. There is and will continue to be nothing vile or salacious in any screen shots that someone wants to find. There will continue to be nothing in this blog. I am pretty much excessively boring and haven't figured out the big interest in me. :) I love my life, so I am definitely not using boring as a derogatory term to describe myself. It is perfect for me! I will continue about my merry way, and I will update this if I feel so inclined.

:)

btw- these are photos of my project from yesterday:

This is the cabinet door, sans paint.

This is the finished chalkboard and the finished stool. My hubs made this stool out of wood in the barn! He did a great job and Little Missy loves it! She stands on it and says, "I like it! I like it!" Now that it is painted she also says "Pretty! Is it pretty?" It is for her to get in and out of her big girl bed, btw. :)
